Today, the Leipzig Book Fair is the second largest in Germany after the Frankfurt Book Fair, and next to the auto fair Auto Mobil International as well as the universal model fair, which existed until after reunification, Leipzig's most famous trade fair. It takes place every year in mid-March on the grounds of the Leipzig Trade Fair.
